An Art Deco Sideboard by V. Valabrega Torino. Three toned sectioned walnut with a black glass top. three central good proportioned drawers with shelved cabinets to either side. Labelled V. Valabrega Torino to inside of each cupboard door. Original wooden handles.
Vittorio Valabrega (1861–1952) was an Italian artist and designer. The Valabrega Brothers company opened in Turin in 1884, and quickly became known for producing high-quality furniture. Vittorio Valabrega took over the company in the mid 1890's, participating in the 1898 Turin exhibition, winning the Silver Medal, the Paris 1900 Universal Exposure exhibition, where he was awarded the Gold Medal; the 1906 Milan exhibition, where he won the Jury Grand Prize; and the 1911 Turin exhibition, where he was awarded the Gold Medal.
